Urban Decay: Revolution Lipgloss

The past few months I've been collecting new lip items, and I thought with Valentines day coming up I would share one of my new favourite products for kissable looking lips!

I received the Urban Decay Revolution Lipgloss in Bittersweet as a 100 point perk from Sephora, and I loved it so much I decided to pick up the Double Shot Travel-size Duo that came with their best-selling nude shade in Liar and an exclusive fuchsia shade in Anarchy!

Packaging: The packaging is really beautiful! It is very slim, and the clear packaging lets you see the colour inside. The doe foot applicator tapers allowing more precision during application and is the perfect size for swiping on colour!

Formula: These lip glosses feel so creamy and have the perfect amount of shine! The shine wears off really beautifully, leaving behind a slight stain of the colour. It is so comfortable and pigmented and contains Hilurlip which is supposed to make lips look fuller.

Anarchy (exclusive to the duo)

Bittersweet

Liar

Although Anarchy and Bittersweet are quite bold, I have found that they are still wearable and easy to sheer out. Liar is my perfect nude and I find myself wearing the most! These lip glosses deliver in pigment, shine, and comfort, making them a great option for an everyday lip colour! I am so excited to pick up more shades!

I hope this post was helpful! If you have any colour suggestions leave them in the comments down below! Thanks for stopping by!

Dior Addict Lip Glow: Holy Grail Lip Product

For the past year and a half I have been using my Dior Addict Lip Glow religiously. It's what lives in my bag and is my go to lip colour when I want a no fuss lippy! It is made with Mango Butter to nourish and soothe the lips and Loofah Extract to moisturize and heal them. It is very hydrating and gives me the most beautiful wash of colour that fades throughout the day evenly and lasts a long time! It has a balmy texture and smells like chocolate and mint. I love that I can put it on without a mirror and not worry that it has gone everywhere!  It truly is a "my lips but better" product, as it  gradually enhances the natural colour of your lips with "revive technology", making it the perfect pink to pair with any makeup (or no makeup) look! Not only is it hydrating and leaves my lips looking plump and pink, it has SPF 10 to protect them! It's an all in one type of product!

I should also mention that the packaging is quite beautiful and well made! I've dropped mine more times than I can count, and it still looks brand new!

On top are the before shots and below is around 5 minutes after application. The colour change is not as visible as it is in person, but you can still see how it has enhanced the colour of my lips! It usually gets a little bit darker than this, as it takes a while for the colour to fully develop.

5 minutes after application on my wrist

I am almost out of mine and I will definitely be purchasing another as soon as I run out! It has a hefty price tag at $37.00 here in Canada, but I think it is worth every penny! I noticed there was also a coral version of this product which I would love to get my hands on, as I love coral lips for the Spring and Summer. I hope you enjoyed this post! Tell me your holy grail lip product in the comments below! Have a great day!

Spring Haul

Over the past month I've been buying some new things for Spring. And since the Sephora VIB sale was last month, I used that as an opportunity to restock on some skincare items that I needed. I thought it would be great to share what I have purchased with you guys since I've had some time to use them and see what I like!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette

$67.00 at Sephora
I mentioned I wanted this in my Beauty Wishlist and I bought it as a gift to myself for completing my second year of University! All three powders make my skin look flawless. My favourite is Dim Light and I use it all over my face to even out the look of my skin!

Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

$29.00 at Sephora
I was in serious need of a new eyeshadow primer! So far I love it! I have super oily eyelids and my eye makeup doesn't budge all day!

First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Daily Face Cream

$25.00 at Sephora
I love this face cream, and my current one is almost out! It is the perfect lightweight consistency for my combo/oily skin. I love it!

First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser With Red Clay

$30.00 at Sephora
This cleanser is gentle and clarifying, I've purchased two in the past and although my current one isn't out yet, I bought an extra for when I do run out!

Clarisonic Replacement Brush Head - Twin Pack (Sensitive)

$49.00 at Sephora
I love the sensitive brush heads for my Clarisonic! They clean my skin so well, I don’t think I can ever go back to using just my hands!

Batiste Dry Shampoo - Original

$8.00 at Shoppers Drug Mart
This spring I've been trying to go longer between washes and when my hair looks oily this stuff gets the job done!

Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer - Medium to Tan

$5.00 at Walmart
Since my job is mostly inside, I don't spend much time outside. I love having a tan, so I thought this would be a nice product to try! It smells good, is great at moisturising my skin, and leaves a nice glow behind!

Covergirl Ready, Set Gorgeous Fresh Complexion Oil Free Foundation - 120 Nude Beige

$6.00 at Walmart
I ran out of foundation, and since I've heard so many good things about this one I wanted to try it out. It looks so natural on my skin and lasts a really long time!

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm - 105 Demure

$8.00 at Walmart
I wanted a sheer nude lippy for spring and this one looks great!

L’Oréal Infallible Lacquer Liner 24H - 171 Blackest Black

$10.00 at Walmart
It was time to purchase a new gel liner, and this one was recommended to me by a friend. I love how smooth and easy to apply it is!

L’Oréal Infallible 24H Eye Shadow - Amber Rush

$10 at Shoppers Drug Mart
This eye shadow has been plastered all over the internet for ages and I wanted to see what all the hype was about! The colour is so pigmented and it makes my eyes pop! It is easy to apply and blend out as well. If you like shimmery eye shadow I would highly recommend this!

I hope you enjoyed! Comment down below what you've been buying for spring and summer! Have a great week!

Naturally Glamorous Grad Makeup

My little sister, Jordyn graduated from High School this past weekend, and for her big day I helped her do her makeup. Normally she doesn't wear a lot of makeup, so we tried to keep it natural while still looking glamorous and done up! She looked stunning and we both loved how it turned out, so I thought that I would share it with you as Prom/Grad season is starting up! Also, I thought I should mention that we took these photos after 12 hours of wearing the makeup and it still looked incredible, so you can count on the products we used to last all day!

Eyes

Primer: Nars Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
Eyeshadow: As a base I placed Tufted Suede (matte skin tone colour) by Too Faced all over her lid. Then I worked Naked (matte mid toned brown) from Urban Decay's Naked Palette into her crease and blended it up as a transition shade. I used Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer (matte warm chocolate brown) to deepen her crease and then placed a little bit of Rain (matte cool toned brown) from Stila's In The Know Palette in the outer half of her crease. I used Rain again on the whole outer third of her lid and blended. Then I took Sin (shimmery champagne) from the Naked Palette and placed that all over the inner half of her lid. To blend Sin and Rain together, I used Toasted from the Naked Palette. To deepen the outer lid, I blended a bit more of Rain into the Outer lid and into the crease. On the Outer-V I used Smog (shimmery golden brown) from the Naked Palette to add some warmth and then blended Haute Chocolate (shimmery dark purple-brown) on top. As a browbone highlight I used the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Incandescent Light from the Ambient Lighting Palette.
Liner: L’Oréal Infallible Lacquer Liner 24H in 171 Blackest Black
Mascara: L’Oréal Telescopic Carbon Black
Lashes: Quo Lashes in 803 Natural
Brows: Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow

Colours used from Naked Palette (Left to Right) - Sin (2nd), Naked (3rd), Smog (7th), Toasted (9th).
Colours Used From Too Faced - Bottom Duo: Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, Top Palette (From Top Down): Tufted Suede (1st), Haute Chocolate (3rd).

Colours used from Stila's In The Know Palette: Rain (Middle Colour Bottom Row)

After her face and eye makeup was done I misted her with Urban Decay's De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray, and the look was finished!

Although we didn't do the hair ourselves, I thought I would show you a picture in case you need some inspiration!

It was such a great day and my sister looked so gorgeous! I hope it was a day she'll remember forever! To see more photos of her makeup in action, you can check out professional shots here! I hope you enjoyed this post and that it inspired you in some way! If you are graduating, Congratulations! I hope you have a safe and magical day!

Bite Beauty: Lush Fruit Lip Gloss

Thanks to Sephora's Black Friday sale, I was sucked into buying this mini lip gloss trio from Bite Beauty. I've seen some other beauty Bloggers and YouTuber's mention these products, but I thought I would do a little review of my own.

First of all, these Lip Glosses are made with real fruit oils, which makes them taste and smell super yummy.

Packaging: To me, packaging isn't a huge deal in what makes or breaks a product, but I do have to say that I really like the simple and classic glass tube with a matte black top. The applicator is also really nice as it is a curved doe foot, making it form to your lips a bit more than the classic doe foot applicator.

                                       Currant

Currant, Strawberry, Rambutan

Formula: The formula of these lip glosses is thick (in a good way!) and sticky, and they are described to be highly pigmented. The colour Currant goes on evenly, but I found that on my lips not much colour appeared. It was more of a "my lips but better" kind of gloss. Strawberry and Rambutan were both very pigmented, but I found them to go on less smoothly and that they needed to be built up to get even colour pay-off on my lips. They also settled into the lines on my lips more than Currant did. You can tell from the swatches below the difference in consistency and application on my lips between the colours. Another plus for the formula is that these glosses last a long time, and are not drying!

 Currant (Sheer Plum)

Strawberry (Sheer Carnation Pink)

Rambutan (Peachy Nude)

Currant, Strawberry, Rambutan

I think the colours are beautiful, and that they are very true to their descriptions. Currant would have to be my favourite out of the three simply due to its smooth application, however that will not stop me from wearing the other two, because I still think that they look beautiful when I take my time to apply them. They just aren't a gloss that I could slap on without a mirror. Overall, I think that any of these glosses would be a great pick for those of you who don't mind sticky formulas!

All of these colours (and more) are available in full size at Sephora! Let me know what you think of these glosses in the comments below!

My Current Beauty Wishlist

Hello!! I thought it would be fun to share some of the products I've had my eye on recently! I always see these products getting great reviews and I want to see if they live up to the hype!

Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

I have REALLY oily eyelids and my eyeshadow always creases. I currently use Urban Decay Primer Potion, which is a great product, but I want something that works better to prevent creasing! This Nars one seems like a great option, and I've heard that it is the best out there for us girls with oily eyelids!

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray

I have some wavy texture in my hair, but it needs a little help to look good! I love having wavy hair, especially in the spring and summer, but I need to find a product that does the job! This one spiked my interest because it is salt infused and I know that I love the way my hair looks when I'm by the ocean! I noticed there is also a Shampoo and Conditioner in this line, but I'm not sure if I need that quite yet!

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation

I've never tried a powder foundation, and this one has been getting great reviews since it was released! I love the Amazonian Clay blushes which stay ALL DAY on my skin so I want to see if the rest of their face products are just as great! BONUS: They have a huge colour range so I know I can find a colour to match me!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette

These powders are sooooo beautiful! I swatch them every time I go into Sephora, but I never bite the bullet. I'm not one to highlight my face, but I want to try these because they seem like they would be great for a subtle highlight, on the lids, or just all over to even my complexion! They are such a unique product, and I think would be so fun to play with!

Let me know what you think of these products and what is currently on your wishlist in the comments!

February Favorites

Even though February was a short month, I managed to gather a load of favourites! This month was a pretty busy month for me. It began with school projects, continued with midterms, then I was blessed with 10 days off for reading break, and then I was sent back to school to continue with paper, after test, after midterm, etc. Anyway, this month I kept my make-up pretty, simple, and natural, which I think is reflected in the products I've gravitated towards most this month. Let's get to it!

Fossil Georgia Three-Hand Leather Watch - Brown

I got this watch for Christmas from my parents and haven't been able to take it off since. It's simple, classic and goes with every outfit and piece of jewellery. It quickly became a staple in my wardrobe, but I didn't realize how obsessed I was with it until it stopped keeping time near the end of the month. I put it away to take it into Fossil, and until I get it back I'll be seriously missing it!

Tangle Teezer Compact Styler

This brush is so worth the price tag! I though $25.00 was a lot to spend on a tiny brush, but I now understand the hype. This month when I went home for reading break, I only brought this brush to save room packing. It's smaller than the original Tangle Teezer as it is smaller than my hand, and it comes with a cap to protect the bristles when travelling. The size and cap make it more convenient to travel with than my regular large paddle brush. I fell in LOVE with it over my trip. I have SUPER tangled hair all the time and it takes a while to get the knots out, but with the Tangle Teezer it doesn't hurt and takes so little time! An added bonus is the head massage!! The bristles feel so great against the scalp, I find myself using it even when I don't need to brush my hair!

Beauty Blender

This month my skin has been felling pretty gross. Although I have oily skin, I tend to get dry patches on my nose and some places on my cheeks. Using the Beauty Blender instead of a brush to apply foundation added a bit of hydration to my skin which helped my make-up look so much better over those dry areas!

Bath and Body Works Stress Relief Body Lotion – Vanilla Verbena

I'm so sad to be almost out of this lotion. It is so moisturising and the scent is to die for! Also I really do feel like putting this lotion on helps me to de-stress. Something about massaging this warm scent into my legs is really calming at the end of a day, especially after a hot shower. I always sleep better when I remember to use it!

Diesel Loverdose Tattoo Perfume

Everything about this perfume is perfect. The bottle is beautiful and the scent is perfect. I'm a huge fan of really warm vanilla-y scents, and this one is the sexiest version that I own. It's really rich and warm, but also has some fruity and floral components to it that liven it up a bit. Although nothing can replace my favourite Vera Wang Princess, this scent has been my go to this month! The notes include blackcrrant accord, cassis accord, bergamont, mandarin, orange blossom, sambac jasmine absolute, rose accord, tonka beans, rice steam accord, and vanilla beans.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

As I mentioned before, my skin has been pretty dry this month. I really love using this mask after I use a deep cleansing mask to combat the dry skin I get afterwards. It has really helped reduce the gross flaky pieces of skin that tend to happen when you combine cold winter air and a drying mask! Also I feel like it makes my skin look more alive the next day. I usually but a thin layer on my face and just sleep with it on, and in the morning I wake up with fresh, healthy looking skin!

Body Shop Born Lippy - Watermelon

Moisturising, smooth, smells great, and tastes great! What else could a girl want!

Stila In The Know Eye Shadow Palette

This month my go-to eye look has been natural and fresh. The matte colours in the palette are perfect for creating the look. I love using either air or wind (the two lightest shades) on the lid to even out the colour and then either desert or clay (or both) in the crease for some definition. Some days I opted for a more defined look and I loved using the colour rain in the outer corners! All the colours in this palette are super pigmented and bendable, and although they are matte they were not chalky or patchy on my eyelids!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush – Exposed

I am IN LOVE with this blush! It is the perfect shade to give my skin a naturally flushed look and it last all day, even with my oily skin! I haven't worn anything but this blush all month!

Benefit Gimme Brow – Medium/Deep

My brows are naturally full and dark, and need very little shaping on a daily basis. This product is perfect because it makes by brows look polished, fills in the few sparse areas I have, and is super natural. This is the only product I have found that matches my naturally black eyebrows that looks natural against my brown hair. I love how easy it is to use, and the finishing touch it adds to my make-up. Definitely a make-up bag staple!

Blinc Lash Primer

Although I was loving the natural look this month, there were some days where I needed a little more oomph in my look! This primer added extra volume and length to my lashes and didn't make my mascara clump when I put it on top!Although it wasn't a necessity I still loved using it!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer – Medium Light Neutral

I've never owned any higher end concealers before this one and now I don't think I can go back. This concealer is super creamy, bendable, and has incredible coverage while still looking natural. Also, I find that it has a slight green tone, which combats redness and compliments my olive skin tone! It's great as a spot treatment or blended all over the face too! One day I didn't want to use my foundation (which is a medium coverage) so I blended a small amount of this all over my skin and it evened out my skin perfectly while looking like I was wearing nothing!

Buxom Full-On Lip Polish - Megan

Honestly, I bought this purely based on the fact that the colour was Megan. I wasn't even sure about the colour, but this gloss has quickly become my go to nude lip! I love swiping it on to glam up my face a bit! It tingles when you put it on, smells like chocolate, is really creamy, and it wears off really well! I just love this stuff!!

L’Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara

This stuff give me length, volume, and separates my lashes really well! Also it is super black and lasts all day! I have a really oily eye area and  usually have issues with mascara smudging, but at the end of the day, there is never any transfer and no flakiness! This stuff rocks! And its from the drugstore so that's a bonus!

As great as February was, I'm excited for March! Spring is upon us and that means bright colours are too! I'm excited to start wearing my favourite coral lippies and less layers outside! Bring on the sunshine! Let me know in the comments what you are loving lately! Have a great month lovelies!
